Temporary room and board at shelter for abused women and children. Services for outpatient and inpatient include: advocacy; support groups; and legal advice. Women must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and must not exhibit any type of violent behavior while in the shelter. Women can be pregnant. Counseling programs are available for children and non-residents. Intake by referral or telephone. Serves female victims of domestic violence and their children. No Fee. Picture I.D. required. Call before going to shelter. No new admissions are accepted on Thursdays. Queen of Peace Maternity House is available for pregnant women. Intake by telephone. Serves women and children; no boys over age 5. No Fee. Picture I.D., Social security card, birth certificate and criminal report to be provided for documentation. Food program and legal services are available to anyone. Intake for legal services is by walk-in or appointment. Serves single women and women with children; no boys over age 12. No Fee.
